This innovative botanical garden sets the pace for plant science in western Canada and defines Edmonton’s skyline with striking glass pyramids rising from river valley. The four major exhibit rooms focus on life as it was in the Onoway area: Country home, Main Street, One-Room School and Community & Farm Life. Other exhibits featured throughtout the museum include: Local Indigenous Leather and Bead Work, Canada at War, Entertainment in Onoway, and many more. Our Equipment Shed is our newest addition to the Museum, featuring larger artifacts such as a 1940s Thresher.

Rad Torque Raceway annually holds a comprehensive schedule of events ranging from Sprint Cars on the 3/8 mile clay Oval to Top Fuel Dragsters on the ¼ mile Dragstrip.

With nationally recognized events like the MOPAR Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals, Rad Torque Raceway has made the leap from regional exposure to a nationally televised motorsport complex.

Racing season runs May thru October.

The Multicultural Heritage Centre has been preserving and promoting the history of Stony Plain for over 40 years. The Centre boasts a living museum which reflects local history, Western Canadian pioneer life and an art gallery promoting local artists as well as artists from all over Alberta and Canada.

Alongside the Old Red Brick School House stands the Oppertshauser House, built in 1910. Currently this old house is home to our “General Store” which is a local Artisans gift shop and old fashioned candy store.

The Centre celebrates our agricultural heritage and our rural values. The arts, culture, sound agricultural practices and strong economic opportunities play pivotal roles in building our future.

The Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, interprets the impact of technological change in transportation, aviation, agriculture and industry from the 1890s to the present. Visitors will see a wide variety of vintage automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, stationary engines, tractors, agricultural implements, aircraft and industrial equipment.

Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site was the home of the first Premier of Alberta, Alexander Cameron Rutherford. In 1911, A.C. Rutherford, his wife Mattie and their family moved into this beautiful brick mansion near the university campus.  Today, this restored and furnished Edwardian-era home maintains the Rutherford tradition of hospitality and offers visitors a glimpse into the past with costumed interpreters, guided tours and special events.
