GranFondo Badlands

The Drumheller Valley is one with a rich and unique heritage. The dinosaur capital of the world, and some of the most iconic landscapes you will ever encounter. Located a little NE of Calgary, the Gran Fondo Badlands travels 162 km, 100 km, 75 km or 50 km through the heart of the stunning hoodoos and mighty Red Deer River.
You’re going to have a truly epic experience, passing through prehistoric and picturesque hoodoos and through the lush river valley.
Location: Badlands Community Facility (80 Veterans Way, Drumheller)

4:00pm – 8:00pm: Package Pick Up and Expo onsite by the start line (look for the registration tent)

5:15pm: Strider Parade

5:30pm: Women’s Ride (meet under the finisher arch)

6:30pm: Optional Pre-Event Meeting and Q and A (main stage)
Strider Parade
We welcome all kids on strider bikes to come join us for a Strider Parade around package pick-up. This event is free of charge to all kids who have an adult registered in Gran Fondo Badlands. Each child will get a cookie when they cross the finish line.
Women’s Ride
The Women’s Ride is a 45-minute very easy, “no drop” group ride. Led by experienced cyclists, this ride is aimed at meeting other women with the ability to ask any of your questions about cycling to the group leaders.
