SUMMARY:RELL BATTLE - Comedy
DESCRIPTION:Rell Battle is a writer and stand-up comedian who is currently a series regular role opposite Craig Robinson in the Peacock KILLING IT. Rell has been featured in Conan’s TEAM COCO House nationwide tour and Will Smith’s THIS JOKA on Roku. He was also a series regular on the CBS multi-camera comedy series SUPERIOR DONUTS for two seasons and previously guested on NBC’s GOOD GIRLS\, ABC’s BLACK-ISH\, and recurred on ABC’s THE GOOD DOCTOR. \nHe recently wrapped a role on Hulu/ABC Signature pilot BAMMAS\, produced by Ramy Youssef\, as well as a guest role on the Donald Glover Amazon comedy series MR. + MRS. SMITH. Rell just wrapped on Village Roadshow’s film THE GUTTER in LA\, written by Yassir Lester\, starring Susan Sarandon and Shameik Moore. Liz Destro produced\, with Isaiah Lester directing. Rell is currently the host at the Soho House Comedy show. \nOn the writing side\, Rell recently partnered up with Unanimous Media to produce his half-hour comedy pilot OFF FAIRFAX. The OFF FAIRFAX short/POC premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. Won the “Episodic Award” at 2023 Slamdance Film Festival\, also appeared at HollyShorts Film Festival\, Hip Hop Film Festival\, Atlanta Film Festival\, Catalyst Film Festival\, and was a Vimeo Staff Pick. Rell was a producer on Peacock and LOL’s SO DUMB\, IT’S CRIMINAL for Snoop Dogg. Rell also sold half-hour multi-cam comedy UNCIVIL LAW to NBC with Orion and Hazy Mills\, which he co-wrote with Pardis Parker. DESCRIPTION:Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze is known for his 2024 televised special Your Friend\, Nate Bargatze on Netflix among other performances. Originally from Nashville\, Bargatze dropped out of college and worked a series of odd jobs before pursuing comedy full-time. Developing a deadpan delivery and family-friendly persona\, he surged in popularity after his routine appeared in the Netflix series The Standups in 2017. Across a handful of split EPs and other releases\, including two full-length albums\, the North Vancouver six-piece make their musical intentions clear. AngelMaker creates deathcore of the highest order\, injected with blackened thrash\, a smattering of power violence\, and the urgent ferocity of underground hardcore. Like genre standard-bearers Black Dahlia Murder\, Despised Icon\, and Whitechapel\, AngelMaker summon the most brutal elements of death metal and combine it with the coldest permafrost of black metal\, without the theatricality sometimes clouding the genres. The brand-new music unleashed by AngelMaker in 2021\, crafted in recent months with producer Tim Creviston (Spiritbox\, Misery Signals)\, and mixed and mastered by Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder\, Knocked Loose)\, is the band’s most confident and destructive yet. The band’s dual-vocal and triple-guitar composition allows for new and diverse explorations of extremity\, setting AngelMaker both inside and apart from the traditions of the deathcore subgenre. DESCRIPTION:Heritagefest is a collection of Alberta Based cultural groups that come together\, annually\, to share their history\, song\, dance and food with the world. They supply all the songs\, dance\, crafts and music. \nAttendance is free\, food tickets have a cost\, the more you buy the better the deal. \nOver 100 cultures are represented in over 70 pavillians each celebrating their art\, crafts\, food\, history and hoping to share them all with Edmontonians.
