SUMMARY:Flamenco Performance
DESCRIPTION:Flamenco dancers Claire Marchand\, Jane Ogilvie\, and Rosanna Terracciano have explored their own creative trajectories since meeting years ago as emerging dancers. Now\, as established artists\, each has played an integral role in establishing a Flamenco presence in Western Canada. Their paths have crossed as artists\, colleagues\, and friends in many ways over the years. \nIn 2023 they decided it was time to formally create a project where they would have the chance to collaborate. Their first project “Flamenco at the Yardbird” was presented to a sold out audience in 2024 with invited guests\, Vancouver Flamenco guitarist and dance accompanist Peter Mole and Spanish singer Celedonio Garrido. In 2025 they returned to the Yardbird for two nights\, with a new performance including returning guitarist Peter Mole and new guest Spanish singer/percussionist Francisco Orozco “Yiyi”\, taking the show on the road to their hometowns of Calgary\, Edmonton\, and Winnipeg\, to rave reviews. \nExperience the mesmerizing interaction of soulful singing\, intricate guitar\, percussive footwork and expressive dance of the Flamenco “tablao”\, with the special addition of flamenco piano. Expect the magical intensity\, improvisation and inspiration that can only be felt in the live encounter of flamenco artists.

They reformed in 2012 and went on to issue a pair of well-received comeback albums in Peace In Our Time (2015) and Thoughts and Prayers (2019).

DESCRIPTION:Flamenco dancers Claire Marchand\, Jane Ogilvie\, and Rosanna Terracciano have explored their own creative trajectories since meeting years ago as emerging dancers. Now\, as established artists\, each has played an integral role in establishing a Flamenco presence in Western Canada. Their paths have crossed as artists\, colleagues\, and friends in many ways over the years. \nIn 2023 they decided it was time to formally create a project where they would have the chance to collaborate. Their first project “Flamenco at the Yardbird” was presented to a sold out audience in 2024 with invited guests\, Vancouver Flamenco guitarist and dance accompanist Peter Mole and Spanish singer Celedonio Garrido. DESCRIPTION:St.Arnaud is the music of Ian (St.Arnaud)\, a project that balances buoyant\, wry storytelling with roots and early indie influences\, all wrapped in lively\, danceable arrangements. Often described as “the goofy side of self-serious indie rock.” The collection is to be packaged into three deluxe singles\, and then released as a self-titled album on Cordova Bay Records. Each of these deluxe singles is a motley crew of songs\, packaged more around a mode of production than a particular genre or feeling. Steeped in the raucous and fun-loving 70s’ folkers and power poppers like Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers\, the result is a larger and livelier interpretation that retains Ian’s penchant for pop hooks and sardonic lyrics. \nThe album and its preceding EPs are a range of material including rock songs\, more folk-oriented singer-songwriter songs\, danceable rock songs\, and emotional ballads. St.Arnaud has played with Basia Bulat\, Reuben and the Dark\, and Lucy Rose among countless others and has performed at stages across the world including The Great Escape\, Reeperbahn\, New Colossus Festival\, FOCUS Wales\, and Tallinn Music Week. St.Arnaud has been featured on Exclaim!\, Folk Radio UK\, Indie 88\, CKUA\, and the CBC Radio 3 top 10.
