DESCRIPTION:With Guests The Surfrajettes \nThe Reverend Horton Heat is the stage name of American musician James C. Heath (born 1959) as well as the name of his psychobilly trio from Dallas. Heath is a singer\, songwriter\, and guitarist. A reviewer for the magazine Prick called Heath the “godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly”. \nThe group formed in 1986\, playing its first gigs in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood. The core members are Jim “Reverend Horton” Heath on guitars and lead vocals\, and Jimbo Wallace on the upright bass. The band signed to Victory Records in 2012\, and released its 12th studio album\, Whole New Life\, on November 30\, 2018. \nThe band plays rock and roll with influences from 1950s country music\, surf music\, punk\, big band\, swing\, and rockabilly standards.

SUMMARY:Lou Barlow
DESCRIPTION:Lou Barlow has been among the most powerfully distinctive\, influential\, and prolific figures in independent music since the 1980s. He was a member of three important bands\, Dinosaur Jr.\, Sebadoh\, and the Folk Implosion\, as well as making time for a solo career\, and the common thread between his contributions to all these projects come from his gift for penning simple but memorable melodies\, and his willingness to bare his soul and expose his insecurities. As a bassist\, he took a supporting role in Dinosaur Jr.\, as the leader of Sebadoh he was a pivotal figure in the lo-fi revolution\, and with the Folk Implosion he managed to land a single in the pop Top 40\, 1995’s “Natural One.” Though his proper solo career didn’t begin until the 2000s\, 2005’s Emoh and 2015’s Brace the Wave show he’s still in firm command of his style and his gifts \n \n

DESCRIPTION:With Chloe Doucet \nFor the first time\, Whitehorse hit the road as a true family band — a full-circle moment where two decades of music-making now spans generations on stage. \nWith their new album All I Want Is All of It\, Whitehorse return to the sound that first defined them: folk-rock romanticism\, raw storytelling\, and the lived-in chemistry of two decades spent writing\, touring\, and building a life together. Recorded in a farmhouse setting with an emphasis on instinct over perfection\, the album captures the duo at their most direct and personal\, letting the songs breathe with the textures of the world around them. \nThe All of It Tour brings those songs to life with a full band that reflects the deeply personal nature of the record. Longtime collaborator Johnny Obercian returns on drums\, joined by Jimi Doucet\, Luke and Melissa’s son\, now performing full-time on keys. For this tour\, the family circle widens even further with the addition of daughter Chloë Doucet\, a Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose jangly\, incisive indie-pop — heard on her recent album Sincerely\, has already taken her to stages alongside Hayden and performed in New York and Los Angeles. \nLuke Doucet adds “After years of coyly rejecting our advances\, the impossibly lovely and talented Chloë Doucet will be joining us on our Canadian tour. Not only will she be performing her songs at various intervals throughout the evening\, she’ll also be joining Whitehorse on guitar and vocals to round out what is now truly a family band\, alongside her brother Jimi on keys. Initially we invited Chloë to open the show\, but after some thought we decided an ‘evening with’ Whitehorse featuring Chloë would feel more like the family celebration it really is.” \nThe evening unfolds over two sets\, with Chloë joining the band throughout the performance\, making the show feel like a true family affair. \nThe result is a performance that feels both expansive and intimate — a celebration of twenty years of Whitehorse and the ties that bind. \n \n
