DESCRIPTION:The Highland Gathering is an outdoor event held at Broadmoor Lake in the heart of Sherwood Park ensuring easy access for all. The event consists of piping and drumming competitions\, massed band performances\, highland dance competitions\, and Scottish heavy games. There are also children’s activities\, food trucks\, a beer garden\, community market\, and a Ceilidh as well as Sunday entertainment provided by local music groups and dance studios. Sheep and Duck herding demos take place in Sunday and the Highland Cows will be on site.

Travel by passenger train to three Prairie towns in rural Alberta and discover a few of Alberta’s Hidden Gems. \nThe train departs from Forestburg and travels to the quaint village of Heisler\, Alberta’s Premier Village that is also home to Canada’s Largest Baseball Glove and famous Heisler sausage! Be sure to bring your cooler to fill up with your purchases of this great locally made sausage from the Heisler General Store. Enjoy a locally sourced meal at the Historic Heisler Hotel to wrap up your day. \nAfter your meal\, you will board the train to travel to Rosalind\, home of The Detention Brewery\, which is located in the old Rosalind School. Here you will enjoy a tour of the brewery\, learn about their  methods\, as well as do a bit of tasting of a few uniquely brewed beer that will surely make your day! After your tour\, it’s back on the train for the return trip back to Forestburg. \nThis is a perfect outing for retirees\, families or friends looking to enjoy a slice of the country at an easy pace. (Ticket includes train ride\, brewery tour\, pint of beer and an amazing locally sourced meal) \n**There is a 15 minute walk between the train andbrewery. Guests have to be able to walk this distance.**

As a 19 year old he studied at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town. He became famous after posting a video on social media where he sang Bruce Springsteen’s “Tougher than the Rest.” And the rest is history as he followed this with more hits. \nRefentse Morake is a South African singer-songwriter who gained fame through viral videos of him singing in Afrikaans. Discovered in 2015 while playing guitar\, he was signed by Sony Music and has since released popular albums\, blending African and Afrikaans music styles. His unique background\, having grown up speaking Afrikaans due to attending an Afrikaans school\, has become a defining part of his musical identity.

DESCRIPTION:AngelMaker levels listeners with a furious\, diverse\, and violent extremity. Across a handful of split EPs and other releases\, including two full-length albums\, the North Vancouver six-piece make their musical intentions clear. AngelMaker creates deathcore of the highest order\, injected with blackened thrash\, a smattering of power violence\, and the urgent ferocity of underground hardcore. Like genre standard-bearers Black Dahlia Murder\, Despised Icon\, and Whitechapel\, AngelMaker summon the most brutal elements of death metal and combine it with the coldest permafrost of black metal\, without the theatricality sometimes clouding the genres. The brand-new music unleashed by AngelMaker in 2021\, crafted in recent months with producer Tim Creviston (Spiritbox\, Misery Signals)\, and mixed and mastered by Will Putney (Thy Art Is Murder\, Knocked Loose)\, is the band’s most confident and destructive yet. The band’s dual-vocal and triple-guitar composition allows for new and diverse explorations of extremity\, setting AngelMaker both inside and apart from the traditions of the deathcore subgenre. Beyond mere technicality and devastation\, AngelMaker trade in emotion\, eliciting unique feelings of sorrow\, regret\, anger\, fear\, and depression\, taking listeners on immersive journeys within the songs. As the British Columbian ensemble’s first new material in roughly two years seeps out from the underground in 2021\, diehards and newcomers alike discover new revelations in their music.
